Estate Planning & Probate Litigation
The Estate Planning & Probate Litigation Practice Group offers personal tax planning and advice to assist clients with the preservation of wealth and transfers to succeeding generations. Our attorneys handle all aspects of estate planning, from simple wills to complex trusts and family partnerships, and are adept at representing clients in probate litigation.
This Practice Group works closely with accountants and other professionals, and often, when the need arises, interacts with our Marital & Family Law Practice Group. Together they provide advice in connection with divorce and structure effective strategies to address the educational needs of their clients’ children.
The Estate Planning & Probate Litigation Practice Group has substantial experience in counseling clients on creditor protection issues and offering alternatives to traditional methods of holding wealth. This Practice Group also interacts with our Corporate, Transactional & Land Use Practice Group, to assist business clients in structuring entity formation and transactions from a tax perspective. The Practice Group helps create and implement a variety of compensation programs, including medical reimbursement, severance pay and other benefit plans, as well as stock options, stock grants and other terms of deferred compensation. Just as with their individual clients, our attorneys are proactive in assisting their business clients in tax planning for all stages of development and in creating effective solutions to business succession and other contingency issues.
