Austin J. Holzknecht is an experienced attorney at Sachs Sax Caplan, P.L., where he focuses his practice on complex civil litigation and formerly insurance defense. For more than six years, he has represented clients in a wide range of disputes, including condominium and homeowners association litigation, employment matters, defamation claims, breach of contract, and commercial contractual disputes.

Drawing on his diverse litigation background, Austin has successfully defended insurance companies, individuals, businesses, and community associations in both state and federal court. He also has experience in bringing lawsuits on behalf of his wide range of clients. Austin has experience managing all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigations and discovery through dispositive motion practice and trial preparation. Austin takes pleasure in providing mentorship to some of the younger and newly barred attorney’s he has worked with throughout his professional career. Austin’s practice emphasizes strategic risk management and efficient resolution of disputes, always with a focus on advancing his clients’ best interests.

Austin earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where he developed his passion for advocacy and trial work. Austin is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and is an active member of the South Florida legal community.

Outside the office, being born and raised in Coral Springs, Florida, Austin enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Cindy, and his two sons Colton and Easton. Austin is an avid football fan of both the Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes, fan of the Miami Heat, Florida Panthers, Miami Marlins, and all things involving South Florida sports. From golfing, exercising, reading, trying new restaurants, and pool or beach days with his family, Austin tries to take in all of the activities and places that South Florida has to offer.
