Greg McAloon is an attorney in the Real Estate, Land Use, and Community Associations practice groups in the Firm’s Boca Raton office, serving clients throughout South Florida and beyond.

Before joining the Firm, Mr. McAloon practiced at an AMLAW 200 firm and most recently served as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 company. He brings significant experience handling land use and property disputes, commercial and residential real estate transactions, real estate leasing, and advising clients on a broad range of real estate-related matters.

Mr. McAloon maintains a full-service real estate practice, representing clients in all aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, and closings for commercial and residential properties. He routinely guides clients through contract negotiation, due diligence, title and survey review, financing considerations, and closing, ensuring transactions are structured efficiently and aligned with client objectives.

His practice is also particularly focused on land use and zoning, where he routinely represents property owners, developers, and community associations in securing site plan approvals and development entitlements. His experience includes projects involving marinas, gas stations, hotels, multifamily residential developments, schools, breweries, automotive facilities, and other commercial uses. He regularly prepares and presents applications before local boards and commissions, navigates comprehensive plan and zoning code requirements, and works closely with municipal staff to move projects from concept through approval.

In addition to entitlement work, Mr. McAloon has substantial experience in real estate leasing, representing both landlords and tenants in the negotiation and drafting of commercial leases across a variety of asset types, including office, retail, and industrial properties.

Mr. McAloon also advises clients on complex property rights issues, including disputes involving riparian rights and waterfront development. He has experience addressing access, dockage, and shoreline use issues, and works to protect clients’ interests in both administrative proceedings and related disputes.

He routinely coordinates with local and state permitting authorities, including municipalities, counties, and agencies such as the Florida Department of Transportation and water management districts. He assists clients in navigating permitting processes, resolving regulatory challenges, and aligning development plans with applicable requirements to achieve timely approvals.

Mr. McAloon earned his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law. During law school, he served as a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and worked as a law clerk for the Florida Senate Judiciary Committee.
